Private dentist · Tonbridge High Street
A private dentist in Tonbridge who takes the time to get it right
On the High Street since 2004 — unhurried, gentle private dentistry for the whole family, from routine check-ups to implants and complete smile makeovers.
“I trained to do dentistry properly — with enough time to listen, explain and get every detail right. That’s what private care means here: your appointment is yours, and we never rush you.”
— Dr Pieter Claassen, principal dentist
Why private
What private care actually gets you
Not a different set of teeth — a different experience. Time, choice and continuity, from a dentist who knows you.
Time that’s yours
Longer, unhurried appointments. You’re a patient we know, not a slot on a conveyor belt.
Seen quickly
Same-day emergency care for our patients, so you’re never left in pain waiting weeks for a space.
The full range
Implants, Invisalign, cosmetic dentistry and facial aesthetics — all under one roof on the High Street.
The best materials
We choose quality labs and materials on their merit, not because a contract limits what we can use.
Genuinely gentle
A calm practice with a light sedative (pre-med) available if you’d like one — anxiety-aware care is in our name, not an afterthought.
One dental home
Continuity with a dentist who knows your history, your mouth and what matters to you.
Private treatments
Everything your family needs, in one place

Your first visit
What to expect when you become a patient
Your first appointment is an unhurried private assessment — a full check of your teeth, gums and bite, any X-rays you need, and time to talk through what you want from your smile. There is no pressure and no rushing: we explain what we find in plain language and set out your options and costs before anything is booked. The new-patient assessment is £97.
From there, everything happens at your pace. Whether you are after a simple check-up routine, straightening, whitening or dental implants, you will see the same dentist each visit, in one calm practice on Tonbridge High Street. Many of our patients come to us after years away from the dentist — and stay because private care here feels genuinely different.
Good to know
Private dentistry in Tonbridge — your questions
Do I have to be an NHS patient to join?
No. We’re a fully private practice, so anyone can register with us — you don’t need a referral and you don’t need to be with the NHS. Many of our patients simply want more time and choice than an NHS appointment allows.
What happens at my first visit, and what does it cost?
Your first visit is a thorough new-patient assessment (£97): a full examination, any necessary X-rays, a chat about anything that’s bothering you, and a clear written plan with costs before anything is booked. No surprises.
Can I switch from my current dentist?
Easily. We’ll register you, request your records if helpful, and pick up your care from there. Most people are surprised how simple it is.
I’m nervous about the dentist — can you help?
Absolutely — it’s what we’re known for. We go at your pace, explain everything, and can arrange a calming pre-med where it helps. See our nervous patients page.
Do you offer emergency appointments?
Yes. Registered patients are seen the same day whenever possible, and we offer a same-day emergency appointment for new patients in pain (£280, including the assessment and immediate treatment to settle it).
Where exactly are you, and is there parking?
We’re at Hanover House, 203 High Street, right in the centre of Tonbridge, with public car parks a short walk away. Step-free access is at the rear of the building — please call ahead on 01732 353402 so we can help.
