Composite bonding in Tonbridge

Repair, reshape, restore — often in one visit. Composite bonding is a gentle, tooth-coloured way to fix chips, close small gaps and reshape teeth — usually with little or no drilling.

If a chipped edge, a small gap or an uneven tooth makes you self-conscious, bonding is often the simplest fix. At Calm & Gentle Dental Care we sculpt natural-looking resin onto your teeth, carefully colour-matched, for a result that blends right in.

What composite bonding is

A gentle, add-on approach — not a drill-it-down one.

Composite bonding uses a tooth-coloured resin that we shape directly onto your tooth, then set and polish so it looks and feels natural. Because we’re usually adding to the tooth rather than cutting it away, it’s one of the kindest, most conservative cosmetic treatments — and often completely reversible-minded. It’s ideal for small, targeted improvements to your smile.

What bonding can fix

  • Chipped or worn tooth edges
  • Small gaps between front teeth
  • Slightly uneven or misshapen teeth
  • Old, discoloured edge fillings
  • Teeth that look too small or short
  • Minor tweaks to finish a smile makeover

Bonding or veneers — which is right?

Composite bonding

Best for smaller changes

Quick, gentle and lower-cost — great for chips, small gaps and reshaping. Usually one visit, little or no drilling. May need occasional polishing or a top-up over time.

Porcelain veneers

Best for bigger transformations

Custom porcelain for a longer-lasting, stain-resistant change to shape and shade across several teeth. More involved, and a bigger investment. Ask us about veneers on the cosmetic page.

Many patients whiten first, then bond — so the new resin is matched to a brighter shade.

How it works, step by step

Consultation. We look at what bothers you and check bonding is the best option — honestly.
Shade & plan. We match the resin to your teeth (or a whitened shade) and plan the shape.
Gentle bonding. We sculpt and set the resin — usually with little or no drilling, often no injection.
Polish & finish. We refine and polish until it blends in and feels natural.

“Bonding is one of the most rewarding things we do — a small, gentle change that gives someone their confidence back, often in a single, comfortable visit.”

Composite bonding — your questions

How long does composite bonding last?

Typically several years with good care. Composite can pick up stain or chip over time, but it’s easy to polish or repair — we’ll show you how to look after it.

Does bonding damage my teeth?

No — that’s the beauty of it. We usually add resin to the tooth with little or no drilling, so your natural tooth is preserved.

Does it hurt?

Bonding is very gentle and often needs no injection at all. We’re a calm, anxiety-free practice and go at your pace.

Will it stain?

Composite can pick up some staining over the years, especially with coffee, tea, red wine or smoking. A polish freshens it up, and good habits keep it looking its best.

How much does composite bonding cost?

It depends how many teeth are involved. You’ll get a clear price at your consultation. Book a consultation to find out.
